| The Gite | ||
| This lovely rural
gite is part of a traditional 17th century stone house, in a small rural
village nestled amid the Charentais rolling fields. The village has a
boulangerie, and the local towns (11km in either direction) have cafes,
restaurants, markets and other shops. The gite has a bedroom, en-suite
shower-room, a large living area with fully-equipped kitchen and its own
terrace with table and chairs. The swimming-pool, BBQ and garden are
shared with the owner. The area offers excellent walking and cycling, as
well as many areas of cultural and historical interest. Non-smokers only.
Situated in the beautiful Poitou-Charente region of western France, the gite is surrounded by stunning nature. The region is known for its gastronomic delights; including foie-gras, cognac and oysters. Poitiers and Bordeaux airports are close-by for direct connections to the UK. Paris is 5 hours by car or just over 2.5 hours on the TGV. |
